Prince Harry 'misses old life' and 'wants compromise' to return to UK more often

Prince Harry “misses his old life” and wants to return to the UK more often, a source close to the royal claims.

The Duke, 39, is also said to be patiently waiting for calls from his father, King Charles III, and brother Prince William.

He has no desire to leave his new life completely, they claim, but wishes he could find a “compromise”.

The Sussexes stepped back from duties as senior working royals in 2020 and now live in Montecito, California.

Lucrative deals were signed with Netflix and Spotify as they forged career paths stateside.

While the Spotify deal has fallen apart – with their Archetypes podcast axed after just one season – they continue to release popular content on Netflix, with hit docuseries Harry&Meghan followed up by Heart of Invictus.

Speaking to Heat magazine, the source said: “There’s no talk of walking from their lucrative deals, but Harry just wishes they could find a compromise as far as returning to the UK more often.

“He knows he has to get behind Meghan and support her in their new life but he misses home and is forever hoping for calls from his dad and brother that never come.”

Prince William traveled to New York this week and reportedly banned any mention of his brother in media interviews.

However, King Charles III’s former butler, Grand Harrold, expressed his optimism that the fallout between Harry and the Firm may be soon to change.

He told Slingo now was the “perfect time for them [Prince William and King Charles] to check in” Harry, even though significant damage to the royals had “already been done”.

Mr Harrold said with Harry’s birthday having just passed it could be a perfect opportunity for the two brothers to begin speaking again.

He added: “But you never know. We will probably never know.

“It would be the opportunity for his dad to reach out, and offer an olive branch. It’s the perfect time for them to check in and I would hope that Harry would do the same to them on their birthdays.”
