Prince Harry could solve 'homesickness' dilemma by getting a 'UK fix' right next door

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have been raising their children in California for three years now, but even so Harry is said to still be “homesick” for the UK.

The Sussexes have set up home in Montecito in the Santa Barbara region, however even Meghan’s pal and make up artist Daniel Martin that the Duke misses home despite settling across the pond.

It seems highly unlikely that Harry and Meghan will ever permanently move back to the UK, but one California-based property expert has an idea as to how the Prince can get his “UK fix”.

Brendan Brown of Westside Estate Agency told The Mirror: “I would say that if he wants a ‘UK fix’ he should move closer to Santa Monica, a famously Brit-Rich neighbourhood.

“There’s the famous pub there The Kings Head which has a shop attached that sells UK items you can’t get elsewhere like proper British bacon, Twiglets and such.”

He was backed up by celebrity PR expert Jane Owen, who said: “If he wants to join a group like BAFTA LA or Brits In LA I’m sure they would gladly have him. Both organizations are made up almost entirely of British ex-pats.

“The BAFTA LA division is often looked at as the lesser cousin of the main BAFTA in London but actually there’s a huge amount of famous Brits who live in LA and have for years.

“Active members of the working community of actors, writers and producers which would be a great community to join if Harry intends to continue producing for Netflix. They could really guide him.

“Alternatively BRITS IN LA is a community that has been growing for almost 20 years. They are exceptionally good at welcoming new British people to LA and giving them a taste of home, from Sunday roasts, to pub quizzes.”

He explained: “He appears to have distanced himself from his college friends and lacks a permanent UK residence.

“During his visits to London, he typically resides in hotels and avoids public appearances. Undoubtedly, Prince Harry longs for his old friendships.

“Meghan loves Harry, but she wants to bring out the better side in him. And she’s quite clear on the roles that they should take together and they are trying to work better together on projects.”

The Duke is also reportedly looking to find another base in the UK after he and Meghan were evicted from Frogmore Cottage earlier this year.
