Prince Harry could produce 'fly-on-the-wall documentary', according to royal expert

Prince Harry is now so media friendly he could produce his own “fly-on-the-wall” documentary series, a royal expert has stated.

Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as working members of the Royal Family in 2020 and moved to California, and have signed a number of major media deals since then.

Their partnership with Netflix has led to them releasing a series of documentaries, including the controversial Harry & Meghan series which told their version of events during their time in the Firm.

While the couple have been keen to protect the privacy of their two young children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, they have continued to give insight into their lives that would have been unprecedented if they were still working royals.

Last month, Harry gave a revealing interview to Good Morning America and a new Invictus Games programme dropped on Hulu, a rival streaming service to Netflix.

Former butler to King Charles and etiquette expert Grant Harrold spoke to Alt Index about the latest Hulu documentary, saying: “Who knows if he’ll [Harry] do more.

“When I worked for Charles, Harry liked his privacy, so unless that’s completely gone, it’s possible that there could be a fly-on-the-wall doc that follows him around.

“Meghan has done TV work in the past, so she’s comfortable with it. She’s already done voiceover products, podcasts and TV.”

Mr Harrold explained that the Royal Family would be unlikely to watch the documentary nor would they “care” too much about its contents as long as it did not reflect negatively on them.

He added: “The people who will be watching it and keeping an eye on what he’s doing will be the Men in Suits at the palace, as Princess Diana called them. They’ll be the ones that make sure it won’t impact or reflect on the crown, monarchy, Royal Family and King.”

The most recent Invictus documentary on Hulu reportedly surprised Netflix, as the Heart of Invictus series dropped on their platform last August.
