Prince Harry and Prince Andrew’s punished by King Charles in just “one fell swoop”, a royal expert has claimed. Christopher Andersen, author of The King, made the suggestion after the 74-year-old monarch handed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex an eviction notice for Frogmore Cottage.
Andersen told Fox News: “Booting the Sussexes out of Frogmore Cottage was not merely an act of revenge for what Harry wrote in ‘Spare’ about Camilla, and it was not merely a cost-cutting move.
“In one fell swoop, the King managed to look as if he was economising while at the same time punishing both Harry and Andrew — a royal trifecta.”
The analysis comes shortly after a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed the couple had been asked to give up their UK home.
The spokesperson said: “We can confirm the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage.”

Reports have suggested the move was sanctioned by King Charles.
The decision to move the couple out of Frogmore Cottage – where they have not lived since moving to California in 2020 – followed the release of Harry’s controversial tell-all memoir Spare.
The Duke of York was reportedly offered the residence as it is smaller than his Royal Lodge home.
Frogmore Cottage is a Grade-II listed property in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The residence, which is owned by the Crown Estate, was gifted to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Frogmore Cottage was refurbished at the cost of £2.4million in 2018/19.
The bill was initially covered by taxpayers through the Sovereign Grant before Harry repaid in full.
Despite the Sussexes’ move to California, daughter Lilibet celebrated her first birthday at Frogmore Cottage last year.
The couple could return to the UK in just a few weeks time as they have received an invitation to attend King Charles’s Coronation between May 6 and May 8.
However, it remains to be seen where Harry and Meghan would stay and what role they would have in the Firm’s celebrations.
