Prince Harry and Meghan Markle warned new PR hire 'will be eaten alive by the wolves'

“Why have they appointed this guy who has no tabloid media experience? He’s going to get eaten by the wolves. I think it’s a surprise appointment and not in a good way,” Griffiths commented during an interview with Ben Leo on GB News.

Griffiths expressed concerns about Gipson’s ability to handle the intense scrutiny from the UK tabloid press, citing the high turnover rate within the Sussexes’ team over the years.

“If he’s going to be the point of contact for the whole of the UK tabloid press, he’s going to get eaten alive,” Griffiths said, highlighting the potential challenges Gipson may face.

Despite the skepticism surrounding Gipson’s appointment, Griffiths acknowledged that it’s still early days for him in the role and hoped that he would be given a fair chance to prove himself.

Harry and Meghan’s decision to bring in a UK-based PR team reflects their recognition of the need to maintain open lines of communication with the British media, despite their initial reluctance to engage with tabloids.

When they relocated abroad in January 2020, the duke and duchess initially made the choice not to keep any UK-based staff.
