Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sent brutal warning over future 'Hollywood hates failures''

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been warned about future projects after the couple were branded some of Hollywood’s biggest “losers” by Tinsel Town’s showbiz bible.

Late last year, The Hollywood Reporter released its biggest winners and losers report – Meghan and Harry fell on the wrong side of the list.

The publication called the Sussexes’ Netflix biography and Prince Harry’s Spare “whiny” while claiming the couple’s brand is a “sanctimonious bubble just begging to be popped.” It said a South Park episode that savaged Meghan and Harry was “the pin”.

More recently, Meghan and Harry were bashed at the Golden Globes by host comedian Jo Koy – and the string of public mockery has led royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams to brand the couple “failures” in Hollywood.

Speaking to Daily Express US, he said: “Jo Koy was not a success as a host of the Golden Globes but a feature of his speech was to mock the Sussexes, who had recently been described in the Hollywood Reporter as ‘losers’.”

Mr Fitzwilliams continued: “It isn’t clear what future projects they plan. Archewell’s accounts were very disappointing. They lost Spotify. Meghan’s WME Agency has produced nothing.

“So, they look like losers and Hollywood doesn’t like failures.”

In November last year, Meghan Markle hinted at big projects that the Sussexes were working on, but so far nothing has been made public.

The Duchess told a reporter at Variety’s red-carpet event that she wanted to create “things that make people feel” as well as “a sense of community”.

She said: “We have so many exciting things on the slate. I can’t wait until we can announce them, but I’m just really proud of what we’re creating. My husband is loving it too which is really fun.”

Several of the Sussexes’ endeavours since they split with the Firm have still been focused on the Royal Family. In late 2022, they released their Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan which detailed their relationship, marriage and eventual move to America.

In January 2023, tensions between the couple and the Firm were apparent following the release of Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir Spare which criticised the royal institution.
