Prince Harry and Meghan Markle savaged by expert as plans for Sussex's future under fire

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new website has been ripped apart by a royal expert who has vowed never to call Meghan a duchess.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have launched their new website and it’s been closely analysed by royal watchers who say it’s an attempt to breathe new life into their media careers.

Now, US-based royal podcaster Kinsey Schofield, speaking on YouTube for Talk TV, has slammed the contents of the site and says that she’ll never refer to Meghan by her royal title.

She said: “I’m not as upset as other people are about them using their titles in their names because they are irrelevant here in The States and I don’t think that people really care.

“But I don’t think that the Royal Family cares because they have had plenty of time to take it away from them.”

The royal commentator then asks why the Royal Family hasn’t stripped the pair of their titles saying the pair have been “using and milking their association” with them for years.

Many have commented on the website’s use of the Sussexes’ royal predigree despite not being working royals, with a biography for Meghan on the site referring to her as Duchess Meghan.

Ms Schofield added that she “will never refer to Meghan Markle as Duchess Meghan” as she is a “girl who quit her job – she’s a stay at home mum”.

When the website was revealed last week the couple were warned that using the Sussex title and their royal crest for what appears to be commercial uses could provoke the Palace.

One source told MailOnline: “They are going to have real trouble with the use of Sussex. It is a royal title and if there is any hint of commercialism about this it will be shut down. It’s just staggering they cannot see how gauche it is.”

However, a source close to the couple said last night: “Prince Harry and Meghan are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. That is a fact. It is their surname and family name.”

The Duke is described on the page as a “humanitarian, military veteran, mental health advocate and environmental campaigner”. The Duchess is called a “feminist and champion of human rights and gender equity”.

Yesterday Prince Harry and Meghan were pictured on the slopes in Canada as they prepare to launch the first edition of a winter Invictus Games.

Followed by a film crew, the Sussexes are seen holding hands and smiling in the picturesque setting of Whistler, British Columbia at an event called ‘One Year to Go’.
