Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reveal sweet gift Prince Archie received on fourth birthday

Prince Archie was gifted a bike from Mad Dogs and Englishmen Bike Shop, which is based in Montecito.

Shop owner Jennifer Blevins said her British partner Martin woke up on May 6 spontaneously wanting to get the young royal a gift.

He decided to hand-deliver a bike, complete with birthday balloons tied to the handlebars, a card and flowers for mum Meghan, to make sure Archie got the gift on his special day.

Blevins told PEOPLE,: “He went and he got one of our little specialized kids’ bikes — they’re really nice little bikes — and he’s like, ‘This one’s perfect, it’s got training wheels.’

“The bike has bought much joy, and is most appreciated by the family. They asked that I convey their gratitude at the lovely surprise.”

The letter was then signed off by Harrison Colcord, who is part of Meghan and Harry’s team.

Blevins said he was stunned to receive the letter, and added: “A courier came by our little shop on Coast Village Road and he dropped off that letter. I was making a joke, I said, ‘It better be a thank you letter,’ and it really was!

“I wasn’t expecting that. I had no idea. It was so thoughtful because, you know, they took the time to write something personal and not just a generic thank you.”

They added that they hope Lilibet will also benefit from the gift as she grows up, saying: “His little sister [Lilibet] can enjoy it too as she grows, it’ll be one that both of them like.”

On May 6, Archie celebrated his birthday in the US with Meghan and his little sister, Princess Lilibet.

Prince Harry attended the Coronation celebrations on his son’s birthday – but left soon after the service seemingly wanting to make it home in time to celebrate Archie’s big day with the 8-hour time difference.

Meghan threw Archie a “private celebration” at their Montecito home, which saw the Duchess bake her son a special lemon cake.

On Sunday, Meghan and Harry’s youngest child Princess Lilibet turned two. No details of how the family spent the day have been released, and the couple didn’t share a photograph of the youngster to mark her special day.
