Prince Harry and Meghan Markle planning 'drastic move' in hope it will fix everything

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are weighing up a move to Los Angeles because they believe it will “fix everything”, sources have claimed.

Packing up and moving shop when things go south is part of the couple’s “MO”, one source said, after it was leaked last month that they were considering leaving Montecito. The Sussexes had been touring properties in Malibu – including a $8million plot of land – before ultimately deciding against it.

However, Hollywood is reportedly next in the sights for the ex-Royals. This is partly driven by Meghan’s desire to reboot her acting career, sources close to the couple have said.

An insider told Life & Style that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex want to move as soon as possible. They said: “Every time things get bad for Harry and Meghan, they want to move — it’s their MO. They think a new place will be exactly what they need and will fix everything.

“Usually it’s just the same drama in a different location. But their friends and family agree that moving to LA could actually be really good for them.”

One key issue for the couple is the average age in Montecito. The gorgeous town has a median age of 50 – meaning it may not be ideal for Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, as well as for their kids — Prince Archie, 4, and two-year-old Princess Lilibet.

The insider commented that in Montecito, “everyone is retired” and the area isn’t “very fun or cool for them or their kids.”

“Harry and Meghan thought they wanted peace and quiet, but this is too quiet, and it comes with the cost of loneliness,” they added.

Without finding new companions, there was a risk the pair would “lose their minds just staring at each other every day”, the insider said – as well as being able to cut down on the “enormous” landscaping costs of their Montecito home. Sources speaking to TMZ claimed that privacy and security will remain a key part of anywhere the couple choose to settle down.

The potential move also coincides with Meghan looking to rejuvenate her acting career. The Duchess signed with talent agency William Morris Endeavor in April and teased upcoming projects with husband Harry’s production company, Archewell Productions, at the Variety Power of Women event in Los Angeles earlier this month.

“We have so many exciting things on the slate,” she told The Standard. “I can’t wait until we can announce them, but I’m just really proud of what we’re creating.”

The insider added that Meghan was “serious” about “getting a paycheck again”, and “doesn’t care if people judge her for acting again.”
