Prince Harry and Meghan Markle LIVE: Sussexes 'planning escape route' from US

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “planning their escape route” back to the UK amid a high-profile lawsuit investigating the Duke’s drug use brought by The Heritage Foundation in Washington DC.

The Daily Mail’s Richard Eden has claimed the royal “has every reason to be nervous” after the conservative think tank filed a Freedom of Information Act request for the royal’s immigration papers in order to determine whether he was open or misleading about his past use of drugs including cannabis, cocaine, magic mushrooms and ayahuasca, as detailed in his book Spare.

He told Palace Confidential: “As the US presidential election is on the horizon, we know Meghan is not a fan of Donald Trump and that feeling is very much mutual.

“Trump’s enjoyed making suggestions that they won’t have such an easy ride if he’s president again so I think Harry has every reason to feel nervous in the USA now and it would suit him if he’s got that escape route back to his homeland.”

His comments come after the former US President told us exclusively that he would not protect Harry for betraying his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
