Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have 'botched' Hollywood careers and let empire 'slip away'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have “botched” their post-Royal careers after splitting with the Royal Family in 2020, according to a reality star-turned-media commentator.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been rocked by the collapse of a Spotify deal reportedly worth $20 million (£16 million) amid the backlash against their other media enterprises.

The couple has seen their popularity plummet in the UK and US following the release of their six-part Netflix docuseries last December and Prince Harry’s memoir Spare earlier this year.

“I almost feel badly, like I think I do feel badly, because I can’t imagine having so much at your fingertips and letting it all slip away because of living inside your own head, “Real Housewives star Bethany Frankel told her 1.4 million TikTok followers.

She added: “And thinking every single thing that you do and say and want is so fascinating that you should be accepting awards at podiums around the world.”

Meghan and Harry last attended an official event together in New York on May 16 where the Duchess was honoured for her advocacy work for girls and women at the Women of Vision Awards.

Following that award show the Sussexes claim they were involved in a “near catastrophic” car chase with paparazzi.

Frankel added that she had “never seen a botched job like this in my life, personally, professionally. I just, I can’t imagine going from hero to zero like that”.

The couple has not publicly responded to Frankel’s comments which come following a sharp decline in popularity on both sides of the Atlantic following Prince Harry’s memoir Spare and the couple’s Netflix series.

However, polling by Newsweek does show that Meghan and Harry have begun to regain their popularity among Americans.

It’s not clear why Frankel decided to take to TikTok to rage against the couple but she has previously commented on their moves. Following Spare she blasted the couple for behaving more like Real Housewives than Royalty.

Meghan and Harry have not released any upcoming public events but it is likely the pair will travel to Germany in September for the 2023 Invictus Games.
