Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'directionless' after 2024 plan goes up in flames

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are frantically “looking for a direction” as the pair emerge from one royal rift only to find themselves embroiled in another, claims one expert.

It comes after the couple bid farewell to a torrid 2023 with highlights including backlash to Harry’s tell-all memoir, Spare, and becoming the butt of various jokes in Hollywood.

New year, new Harry and Meghan? Sadly not, it would seem. A royal author has claimed Queen Elizabeth II was very upset over the Sussexes’ decision to name their daughter Lilibet – and now the couple appear to have another royal rift on their hands.

All this does not augur well for the couple as they look to start afresh, Pauline Maclaran, a professor at Royal Holloway, tells Daily Express US.

“I feel like they’re looking for a direction, they may be a bit lost, really,” she said.

“After all the criticism, I think there’s so much speculation about how they’re going to take their brand, if you like, forward.”

The couple’s incessant focus on exposing royal life has also run its course, the professor claims, adding that “it’s gotten so much criticism, obviously in Britain, but also in the States. My understanding is that the tide has turned”.

To Di For Daily host Kinsey Schofield shares this sentiment, exclusively telling Daily Express that US media outlets are increasingly dropping the Sussexes’ royal titles when referring to them in articles.
