Prince Harry and Meghan Markle break silence on King Charles and Kate's health scares

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have sent their best wishes to King Charles and Kate, the Princess of Wales after last week’s double health scare.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are understood to have contacted both senior royals last week, following the news that Kate had undergone abdominal surgery and the King is due to undergo prostate surgery this week.

A source told The Mirror: “The King and the Princess of Wales have received support from Prince Harry and Meghan regarding their health.

‌“The Duke and Duchess contacted both parties in different ways to pass on their concern and best wishes.”

The move has been considered an olive branch, as Harry and Meghan attempt to move past their spate of royal attacks and focus on repairing their relationship with the Royal Family.

Kate is still in the The London Clinic hospital in Marylebone where she underwent successful abdominal surgery last Tuesday. She is due to stay there for up to two weeks before heading home to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor for the rest of her recovery.

The Princess is not expected to return to royal duties until after Easter.

The King meanwhile had been enjoying his New Year break with Queen Camilla when he discovered he had an enlarged prostate and would require surgery.

On Friday he and the Queen flew from Aberdeen to Norfolk. The King headed to Sandringham to rest ahead of the procedure, while Camilla is understood to have headed to her private home, Ray Mill House in Wiltshire.
