Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are ‘Hollywood nobodies’ after Oscars absence

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have become “nobodies” in Hollywood after being snubbed by Elton John, according to a royal biographer. The Duke and Duchess were notably absent from the Oscars ceremony last weekend – which saw the who’s who of Hollywood in attendance.

Tom Bower, the author of Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, pointed to their absence at Elton John’s Oscars party. He also slammed King Charles for not being “decisive” and barring Meghan and Harry from the Coronation later this year.

Speaking on GB News, Bower said: “They weren’t even invited to Elton John’s party at the Oscars. They really are nobodies in Hollywood, but somehow King Charles is going to make them somebody in London at the most important event of his life.”

He added: “Of course, that is the problem. He’s not being decisive and he’s going to undermine the state of the monarchy in Britain if he’s not very careful.”

Meghan and Harry have been invited to King Charles’s Coronation, but the couple has refused to say whether they will attend. Mr Bower said the pair were “weighing up” how best to “promote themselves”.

Now, commentators are watching to see if the Sussexes will attend the the Coronation of King Charles III later this year.

Meghan and Harry’s children, Prince Archie Harrison and Princess Lilibet Diana, have reportedly not been invited to the event although Camilla, Queen Consort’s grandchildren – who are in their teens – have been invited.

It’s possible, Meghan, or both Meghan and Harry, might stay home with their children on May 6, which is also their son Archie’s fourth birthday.

The once-in-a-generation event will see around 2,000 guests invited including royals, both foreign and domestic, heads of state from around the world and other dignitaries.
