Prince Harry and Meghan invited the public into their lives through a six-part Netflix docuseries, a move that, according to an unscripted TV expert, may have diminished their allure.
Kate Casey, host of the Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast, draws parallels between the Sussexes and reality TV cast members who leave a show for a spinoff.
She suggests that now, people aren’t as captivated by them as before.
And, like actual reality stars, Harry may need some time away from the show, aka the Royal Family, “to mix his life up a bit” and them come back, and tell his story, suggests Ms Casey.
Casey explains: “People have sort of let go of wanting to know every single thing about Harry and Meghan, because they let people in a little bit.”
She adds: “And now, I feel like, and people are less interested in them, because they let them in a little bit.”
