Prince George's outfit for The Ashes sparks fan concern over missing item

As Prince George enjoyed a day at The Ashes with Prince William, the nine-year-old sparked concern as fans spotted one missing item from his outfit. While the young royal looked happy, eating pizza and spending some one-on-one time with his father, some fans took to social media to express their concern that George was missing his sunglasses as he appeared to be “screwing up his eyes” watching the cricket from the box.

A fan, named Linda, took to Twitter: “Prince George needs some sunglasses, he is screwing up his eyes, [the] sunshine is too strong.”

Another, named Marianne, also commented: “They should get Prince George some sunglasses.”

A third wrote: “Prince George needs to wear sunglasses as well as dad.”

A fourth jokingly suggested that George should tell his dad that he needs “to borrow his sunglasses” because he forgot his.

Some fans also took to social media to comment on the likeliness between Prince William and his eldest son.

One fan wrote: “Prince William (sporting a healthy tan) teaching his son, Prince George, the Art of being effortlessly fly. Seriously, these two mirror each other.”

Another fan, named Kayla Adams, also wrote: “Prince William and Prince George are out today at Lord’s to watch a test match. Like father like son.”

The event appeared to be a time for bonding between the father and son as Kate, eight-year-old Princess Charlotte and five-year-old Prince Louis were not present.

Clearly a sporting fan like his royal parents, the then-eight-year-old made his Wimbledon debut last year.

Just a few weeks shy of his ninth birthday, George appeared excited as he joined both of his parents in the royal box for the Men’s Singles Final at Wimbledon last July.

The young royal appeared animated as he cheered along with the adoring crowds, with his appearance delighting royal fans.
