Prince George 'took advantage' of tasty treat at rugby as Kate jokes about large appetite

Prince George was treated to a prime seat for the Wales vs Argentina quarter final match on Saturday at the Rugby World Cup, however it was not just the sport that captured his attention.

He travelled with Prince William to France last weekend to take in the game, and reportedly enjoyed tucking into his favourite Italian treat as part of the hospitality offered.

A video shared on X, formerly Twitter, showed his mum Princess Kate chatting to World Rugby Chairman Sir Bill Beaumont at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille on Sunday, where she had gone to watch England play Fiji in their quarter final clash.

In the clip, Sir Bill laughs with Kate about her eldest son’s appetite, as he shared how George had delighted in the pizza that was on offer.

Kate quips: “He took full advantage”, with Sir Bill replying: “He tucked into the pizza alright”. Kate responds to him: “Yes, I know, I did hear that.”

In 2019 Matthew Kleiner-Mann, chief executive of the Ivy Learning Trust, said Kate had given him an insight into her children’s eating habits during a visit.

He said: “She was telling us how much her children love cooking and how they cook for her. They made cheesy pasta the other day. One stirs the flour, one puts the milk and butter in. And they make salads and stuff.”

On a visit to St Luke’s Community Centre the Princess told staff how her children loved making pizza with her so they can “get their hands messy”.
