Prince George, Charlotte and Louis sweetly helping to look after Princess Kate at home

While Princess Kate was recovering from adnominal surgery at The London Clinic in Marylebone, she was visited by her husband, Prince William, but not by her three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five.

Instead, Princess Kate kept her children updated by video messaging them via FaceTime, which is similar to how the Prince and Princess of Wales act to keep a close bond with their children when they are away on royal tours.

Despite her lengthy 13-day stay at the prestigious private hospital, a royal biographer believes it was a thoughtful decision.

Ingrid Seward told People Magazine: “I don’t think she wanted to make more of a big thing of it than it already was. They’ll be rallying ’round in their own way and helping to look after her.”

She added: “I’m sure she’s utterly exhausted, but she’ll recover well.”

According to the visitor guidelines set out by The London Clinic, “children” and “babies” are “not permitted”.

The statement reads on the hospital’s website reads: “For the safety of our patients, we do not permit any children or babies to visit. Any special requests for children to visit must be approved by the Matrons. If approved, children must be accompanied by a responsible adult who will look after them throughout the visit.”

The Palace has not disclosed specifics about the nature of Princess Kate’s illness but it is known to be not cancerous.

Kensington Palace reported Kate is “making good progress” since the operation, adding a special thanks to the medical team that helped to look after her while she was in hospital.

The Princess of Wales was discharged after 13 days and is continuing her recuperation at her home in Windsor where she is reunited with her three children after a “successful surgery”.

Now, Princess kate is “back working from her bed” to prepare for her return to official duties in a few months, according to a palace insider.

The Princess of Wales made her last public appearance at Christmas when she joined members of the Royal Family for their annual tradition of walking to church and greeting members of the public gathered outside after the service.

Just hours after Kensington Palace revealed the news about Princess Kate’s surgery this year, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles “sought treatment for an enlarged prostate.”

After leaving hospital on January 29, the reigning Monarch is also back at home and recovering from the planned corrective procedure.
