POLL: Will you watch Prince Harry's Heart of Invictus series on Netflix?

Prince Harry’s Heart of Invictus series was released on Netflix this morning, August 30, and is the latest project produced by Archewell Productions for the streaming service.

The Duke of Sussex’s five-part docuseries focuses follows the competitors and organisers preparing for the 2020 Invictus Games in The Hague which were delayed until spring 2022 due to the Covid pandemic.

Harry, who is an executive producer for the series, also shares insight into the importance of the adaptive sports competition for injured service personnel and veterans, which he launched in 2014.

Speaking in a trailer for the series released earlier this month, Harry said: “The Games doesn’t focus on what causes the injury but really about the recovery and how to be part of a community again.”

The series was produced as part of Harry and Meghan Markle’s multi-million-pound deal with the streaming service. Heart of Invictus is the second output from Archewell Productions and follows the couple’s docuseries Harry & Meghan which aired last December.

PR expert Mayah Riaz told The Mirror last week that Harry’s series will show he “hasn’t forgotten what is important to him”

She explained: “This documentary without doubt will show Harry at his best as Invictus Games is his baby. It’s something close to his heart with his time in the military. I believe it’s important that he has done this documentary, as it shows despite moving to the States, he hasn’t forgotten what is important to him.”

The series has been released in the lead-up to the next Invictus Games which start in Dusseldorf on September 9. Harry expected to travel to Germany for the occasion and Meghan due to join him a few days later.
