POLL: Should Prince Harry put aside feud and attend royal Christmas?

The festive period is fast approaching and with Harry and Meghan living in the US, theories have been circulating as to whether the couple will head to the UK to spend Christmas with the Royal Family.

The royals have had a turbulent year, starting with the publication of Harry’s highly-anticipated book Spare.

In his book, the Duke of Sussex spoke of a shocking argument he had with his brother Prince William, among several other revelations which made it clear there were tensions in the Firm.

This followed a 2021 tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, which saw the Sussexes openly discuss a “feud” with Prince William and the lack of care Meghan felt she received as she battled with her mental health.

With Christmas around the corner, could this be the year the Sussexes reconcile with the royals? Experts aren’t so sure.

Despite an apparently “warm” conversation Harry had with Charles on his birthday, royal experts believe an invite may not be sent to the Sussex family for Christmas.

And it may be Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales standing in the way, with a friend of William’s saying he would find spending Christmas with Harry a “total humiliation”.

Prince William’s friend told the Daily Beast: “Would you want to sit down for a slap-up Christmas lunch with someone who had basically called you an a**hole in public?”

The last time the Sussexes attended a Royal Family Christmas in Sandringham was 2018, meaning their two children Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, have never spent Christmas with their paternal side of the family.

Prince Harry and Meghan could fly to the UK despite not having an official invite, with one source saying: “As with anything to do with Harry and Meghan, let’s face it, anything can happen.”

So should Prince Harry put aside the feud and attend royal Christmas despite not having an official invite? Vote in our poll and have your say in the comments.
