A quiet estate of Manchester has been swarmed by police following unconfirmed reports of gunshots in the area.
Emergency services have cordoned off part of Overdale, in Swinton.
The Manchester Evening News report that residents claim armed police have blocked off a section of the road and are not allowing people to pass.
Local residents have also claimed there is a police helicopter circling overheard.
