Police set to launch probe into death of boy, 4, at Center Parcs on Christmas Eve

Police have been called to probe the death of a young boy who died the day before Christmas in a swimming pool incident at a Center Parcs in southwest England. Police will work to establish the facts around the incident, though the situation is not being regarded as suspicious. A post-mortem is set to be conducted to uncover the full story behind the tragic death, which remains unexplained.

The Wiltshire Police investigating the incident have said they do not believe there to be “any suspicious circumstances” regarding the boy’s death.

In a statement, they said on Monday: “We are working alongside HM Coroner for Wiltshire and Swindon following the death of a four-year-old boy at Center Parcs, Longleat.

“A post-mortem will take place in due course, however, at this time there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and our thoughts remain with the family at this difficult time.”

The young boy died in the resort’s sub-tropical swimming pool, which was closed due to a “serious medical incident”.
