North Yorkshire Police have discovered a body in the search for missing 22-year-old Sophie Lambert. Police have been searching around the Nidd Gorge area of Harrogate following her disappearance on Friday.
Sophie was last seen leaving her home address in Starbeck on Friday, June 16, around 7.06pm and has not been seen since.
A spokesman for the force said: “We are sad to report that officers searching for missing Sophie Lambert in the Harrogate area have confirmed a body has been found in the River Nidd near Nidd Gorge this morning. (Wednesday 21 June). It is too early to confirm the identity, but Sophie’s family have been informed and are receiving specialist support.”
