Pizza Hut branch's closure sign goes viral due to unfortunate typo

A Pizza Hut branch went viral after the sign warning of an unexpected closure had an unfortunate typo.

One hungry customer was met with a notice saying a branch in Ontario, Canada, would be closed due to “unforeseen circumcisions” when they went last week.

Photos of the sign quickly spread around social media with one user on social media sharing a picture with the caption “the perfect typo doesn’t exi-“.

Actor George Takei also shared the image, joking “Typos are my worst enema.”

According to CTV News, the restaurant took the typo in good humour. It put up a second sign joining in with the joke.

It wrote: “In light of recent CIRCUMSTANCES, for a limited time when you buy one regular priced medium or large pizza for only $5.”

The restaurant then listed a number of items custumers could save money on. It also said there would be “no tip required” for the discount pizzas.

The local hospital charity even joined in with the humor. The Timmins and District Hospital Foundation quipped: “Hey Timmins Pizza Hut … stick to pizza, we’ll handle the circumcisions.”
