The TV host opened up on his affair with a younger co-worker at ITV’s This Morning, branding it a “grave error”. In his first interview since his bombshell statement was released last month, Mr Schofield appeared emotional as he said he doubted he would make a return to a career in TV following the explosive scandal.
Speaking with BBC’s Amol Rajan, he said: “I have to talk about television in the past tense, which breaks my heart. I have lost everything.”
