Pensioner jailed over Philippines child abuse images

A pensioner has been jailed for paying £2,700 to a Filipino family who facilitated child abuse and sent him photos.

John Tesseyman, 73, was found to have made 53 payments to contacts in the Philippines. His computers were found to contain more than 70 indecent images of children, including those of a Filipino child.

The pensioner, from Ingleton, North Yorks, has now been jailed for 13 months after being convicted of four counts of making indecent photos of children. A sentencing hearing at Preston Crown Court heard Tesseyman was identified as part of an investigation by the National Crime Agency.

The couple who facilitated the abuse of the children in some of the photos were both charged with offences involving the sexual exploitation of children in the Philippines.
