A paedophile teacher who was jailed for having sex with an underage pupil has been freed after serving just half of her sentence. Married Kandice Barber was sent to prison for six years and two months in 2021 after being found guilty of engaging a child in sexual activity.
The 37-year-old mum-of-three has now been freed from East Sutton Park Women’s prison in Kent. She was locked up after her abusive behaviour came to light when a topless picture she had sent to the victim ended up on the headteacher’s desk.
During her time in prison, she struck up a relationship with fellow prisoner Jay Delaney, who was convicted of fraud. The two met on temporary prison release, which was cancelled when their relationship came to light.
