Outrage as Disney characters seen ‘twerking’ and messing about with heads off in TikTok

People have been left outraged after footage was released on TikTok of Disney characters seen twerking with and without their heads on.

The footage, reportedly taken at Disneyland in California, has left Disney bosses shocked.

The behind-the-scenes clips were posted on a TikTok account called Illegal Disney and included shots of costume heads on shelves.

In one clip, an employee in a Pinocchio costume allegedly appears to pretend to carry out a sexual act on Captain Hook.

Bosses at the resort said they were eager to protect the firm’s “magic” after the incident.

Investigators are trying to establish how the footage was leaked and who the people are inside the costumes.

The Sun reported that a source said: “It looks silly, but for Disney protecting the integrity of those characters is absolutely paramount.

“They’ve asked top investigators to shut down the feed and try to identify those responsible, who are in breach of their employment contracts.

“The last thing Disney wants is decapitated Mickey and Minnie heads going viral online and, even worse, anything that looks at all risqué or adult.”

They added: “Some of the clips show the characters dancing and twerking in their outfits — it’s just not on-message.”

The source also said Disney was one of the most protective companies in the world for its brand as its main customer base is families and young children.

Following the leak, several accounts that which the footage have been shut down, including Illegal Disney.

However, this hasn’t stopped other TikTok users from saving and sharing the content originally posted on the platform.

Staff who work at each Disneyland resort are known as “cast members” and are reportedly required to stay in character.

They are also required to maintain the Disney ethos at all times.
