Oscar Piastri laughs at Qatar GP blunder as Lando Norris left frustrated

Oscar Piastri made a joke referencing his awkward post-qualifying TV interview after securing P1 for the sprint race at the Qatar Grand Prix. However, his McLaren team-mate Lando Norris was much less impressed with his performance.

The 22-year-old rookie produced one of the highlights of his young career at the last sprint race in Belgium when he finished in P2, and he went one better on Saturday afternoon, beating Norris and champion-to-be Max Verstappen to the top spot.

Piastri made sure to compliment his achievement with a joke too, taking to the X social media platform after the session to say: “And a more enjoyable interview than yesterday,” followed by a winking-face emoji.
