Optical illusion is ‘on point’ at showing if you are too trusting of others

A beautiful sunset optical illusion claims to be able to demonstrate if you are an optimist or more pessimistic when it comes to the people in your life.

This colourful personality test asks the viewer to quickly glance at the picture, which should either look like a pair of red lips or clouds in the sky.

Depending on what the viewer sees first, this brainteaser should show if you are very sceptical and weary of people or believe in “the goodness of humanity.”

This peculiar art piece was first online in a video by the optical illusion specialist Mia Yilin, who has exploded in popularity on social media with her mind-boggling personality tests which users have claimed have been able to accurately predict their personalities.

In Mia’s comment section, one bewildered user wrote: “Thank you, you’ve taught me so much about myself” while someone else commented: “Why is she always on point?! This was amazing.”

Clouds

Viewers who first saw clouds in the middle of a sunset are highly sceptical of strangers. They are very generous and helpful people to their loved ones, but are always weary of getting close to people they do not know and do not easily let their guard down.

Mia said: “You have very strong social skills. You can get along with anyone but you’re also rather cynical at heart. Even though you might seem friendly, you actually find it very difficult to trust others.

“When people make an effort to approach you, you’re always trying to figure out their motive and end goal.”

They are very logical and excellent at reading people who do not get involved with gossip or petty drama. Although they have a pessimistic outlook on life, they have a very relaxed and happy social life as they are highly skilled at keeping mean-spirited people out of their lives.

Lips

Those who first saw a pair of red lips are known for their kind-hearted nature who go above and beyond for other people. They would always help a stranger in need without question and are adored by those around them for how much they care about the world.

Mia said: “Your loving and cheerful personality is like a breath of fresh air and you can get sentimental rather easily. Even though you know the world can be cruel, you still choose to believe in the goodness of humanity.”

Their bright way of looking at the world means they can be deeply hurt and sensitive whenever conflict with their loved ones happens, but are able to let the little things go. However, just because they are optimists does not mean they are easily led astray, and will always push back on anyone being cruel to others.

Mia added: “You might be willing to tolerate others over small things, but when it comes to major conflicts of interest you’re very principled and will always stand your ground.”
