One dead and four injured after stabbing suspect on the run mows down students


A stabbing suspect believed to be on the run smashed into a car carrying five high school students, killing one. A 15-year-old student died in the crash after the suspect’s vehicle struck their car and flipped over in Thousand Oaks, California.

Another minor was in critical condition while one was in moderate condition. Two other students suffered minor injuries.

Police arrested 24-year-old Austin Eis and after speaking to witnesses at the scene, said they believe the crash was intentional. Eis was booked for alleged homicide.

The driver was also wanted for allegedly stabbing a Walmart employee in Simi Valley, California earlier in the day. The stabbing victim’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. Police were investigating a motive for the alleged stabbing.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived but witnesses were able to give officers details about the white Toyota Camry and identify the vehicle’s license plate number.
