Omid Scobie's book Endgame sees price slashed by 50% as royals grapple with fallout

Not one but two major retailers have slashed the price of Omid Scobie’s new royal book Endgame less than a week after it first hit the shelves.

The bombshell book has dominated the headlines due to the sheer number of scandalous claims made against senior members of the Royal Family, with King Charles, Prince William and Princess Kate all coming into the firing line.

However, the biggest controversy has been over the Dutch edition of the book, as it named two members of the Royal Family who allegedly raised questions over what colour Prince Archie’s skin would be before he was born. The English version of the book did not name the two royals and Mr Scobie insists that no version of the book ever included the names.

Piers Morgan later revealed the names live on air, prompting over news outlets to follow suit. The Daily Express has chosen not to name them. The furore over the extract has left the Royal Family reeling, with Buckingham Palace exploring all available options with how to respond – including legal action.

But as the row continues to rumble on, Endgame is now half price at WHSmiths and Amazon, with the price slashed from £22 to £11 for a hardback copy.
