Nikki Haley dealt massive blow as bookies predict total wipeout at 2024 election

Nikki Haley is languishing behind both Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis and will finish with single-digit support, a bookmaker has claimed. The 51-year-old is just the second candidate to have officially entered the 2024 election campaign, following a slick video and launch event in Charleston, South Carolina.

However, opinion polls have consistently indicated that Haley’s support hovers somewhere between three and five percent.

A new supercomputer prediction by Sporting Index has put further pressure on Haley’s campaign after it found little reason for South Carolina’s ex-Governor to get excited.

It forecast Haley to pick up just four percent of the GOP primary vote.

Donald Trump, who launched his third successive White House bid last November, is tipped to win the contest with 47 percent of the vote.

While Ron DeSantis has not yet declared if he will challenge Trump, Florida’s Governor looks set to finish in second on 32 percent.

Sporting Index Neville Burdock said: “Nikki Haley is the first candidate to announce she will run against Donald Trump in the Republican primaries, but we can’t see her challenging the likely main protagonists and fears of her stealing votes from other potential candidates seem unfounded.”

Despite the prediction, many GOP figures believe it is far too early to make predictions about the overall contest.

The first opinion poll to have been conducted after Trump launched his 2016 campaign gave the property tycoon just 11 percent of support.

Trump’s rival has already managed to win over a former ally of the ex-POTUS.

South Carolina Congressman Ralph Norman, a member of the GOP’s Freedom Caucus in Washington, told Fox News: We’re at a pivotal juncture, and most of the Republicans I know are now looking for new leadership with a new vision at the top of the ticket.

“Nikki Haley has that vision, and she’s going to be an outstanding President.”
