Nick Kyrgios lands new Australian Open job as injury woes continue

After going under the knife during the 2023 edition of the tournament, Kyrgios will at least be on-site this time around. It’s not the first time that the 28-year-old has taken on a punditry job as he joined the Tennis Channel studio for the ATP Finals at the end of the 2023 season.

Following his stint in front of the camera, Kyrgios hit out at some ex-players who take up a commentary role in retirement. “Sometimes it’s hard to watch these old heads kind of break down the game all the time for new fans. It’s like some of the stuff they say doesn’t make sense,” he told The Athletic.

“Jim Courier is really good, the way he articulates things, but some of these other people, I’m just like, ‘What are you talking about?’. Like, ‘How do you know?’”
