New York school principal reportedly looking for sex used nuggets and shake to lure girl

A New York principal reportedly looking for sex used a shake and nuggets to try and lure a girl to a remote location.

Cops say Johnson City Middle School Principal Daniel Erickson used Snapchat to try and lure the girl. He allegedly had condoms, chicken nuggets and a Grimace milkshake from McDonald’s when he was stopped.

Having been arrested on Friday, the Broome County Sheriff’s Office say the 55-year-old has been charged with luring a child and attempted rape.

It is alleged he had been communicating with the teenager for a week, reports the NY Post.

The New York principal made statements to her that indicated he was “going to engage in sexual conduct with the minor,” the sheriff’s office said.

Police say he initially posed as a younger adult but subsequently used “his position as the Johnson City Middle School Principal and school district database information to convince the 16-year-old girl who he really was”.

They allege Erickson made multiple attempts to meet with the girl, even showing up at her home, but she never came outside to meet him. On Wednesday, they became aware of the allegations.

Two days later they say he attempted to meet her at a remote location. At a press conference, Broome County Sheriff Fred Akshar said he took a box of condoms, chicken nuggets and a Grimace milkshake from McDonald’s to the meeting.

Instead of the girl, he was met by detectives who arrested him.

Sheriff Akshar said: “As a father, I know this is a nightmare scenario for any parent. If anyone in our community finds themselves in a similar situation, whether you are a student or a parent of a student, it’s critically important that you come forward immediately and make your school and law enforcement aware.”

Erickson was remanded to the Broome County Correctional Facility. He is being held without bail.
