A new bombshell book, Endgame, will reportedly contain details on a small scale rivalry between King Charles and his eldest son and heir to the throne, Prince William.
Endgame is a self-proclaimed “investigation” into the current state of the British monarchy, comprising of “an unpopular king, a power-hungry heir to the throne, a queen willing to go to dangerous lengths to preserve her image, and a prince forced to start a new life after being betrayed by his own family,” according to the synopsis.
In it, Scobie claims the Prince of Wales Prince is getting increasingly frustrated with his father’s “squandering” and sees him as a “transitional monarch”, the Sun reports.
The unofficial biographer of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle claims to reveal moments of which the Royal Family should be “ashamed”.
And according to him, both Charles and William have “clashing approaches and opinions” towards the monarchy.

The book reads: “Their views, their outlooks, are very different, and I can see that becoming an issue over the years ahead.”
But a royal biographer slammed Scobie’s claims and said the book will “fail” its attempt to “drive a wedge between father and son”.
Ingrid Seward stated both men – even though they hold differing views on the monarchy – put on a united front this week as they hosted a state banquet for the President of the Republic of South Korea and his wife during the UK visit.
Commenting on Scobie’s claims about William having become “institutionalised by the monarchy”, she categorically said this is not the case.
She wrote for the Sun: “Prince William has always made it clear he won’t do things the same way as his father, but since adulthood has had a great respect for the institution of the monarchy.
“He has no desire to take his father’s place until he has to. He has seen how hard his father works and how restricted he is now he is King and is more than happy to assist him as much as he possibly can in his role.
“He is delighted he does not have to take on the responsibility himself.” The expert added: “Prince William has certainly not become institutionalised. His father took great care of that.
“When William was accused of being lazy and not pulling his weight as he took on no royal duties, his father explained William and Kate needed time to enjoy as normal a family life as possible.
“They managed to do just that and have three children before he was obliged to take on duties just before the birth of Prince Louis. It was Charles’ blueprint for his eldest son and heir.”
Seward went on to say that there is never any jealousy between the two as the King is proud of his son’s achievements.
She said: “Charles is proud of his eldest son. He is far too wise to let any disunity spread by malicious gossip affect their relationship. It just won’t work.
“He is secure in William’s loyalty. His son has a well-developed sense of obligation and responsibility to his family. I am sure Charles looks forward to the day that Harry develops this too.”
Meanwhile, Scobie warned people to wait until his new book comes out saying that he’s been “misquoted”.
He wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Hardly a surprise that the twisting of facts and misquoting going on right now has reached new levels of desperation.
“Looking forward to people being able to read the book for themselves on Tuesday — and hearing my actual voice set some nonsense straight in interviews this week.”
