A disgruntled social media user has been praised for getting revenge on their “entitled” neighbor who would drive through his garden to park his Porsche.
The neighbour, known as Richard, used to park his sportscar in the backyard, but would have to drive beyond the separation line of the two homes to get there. His fed up neighbor decided to take action to prevent it from happening anymore.
Writing on Reddit, user LNGrass, said: “Until recently, my parents lived in the same house for 50 years. We had three neighbours on the north side over that time.
“The first was a little old woman called Elenore. She was a hermit and as such us young kids were always scared of her. She died when I was a freshman in high school. It took a few years and then we had a new guy buy the property, Richard.”
The man explained he returned home one day to discover Richard chopping down the bushes at the property. He said the bush was one foot into their property – something the previous neighbor never complained about.
The user continued: “My dad and I confronted him, and let him know those were our bushes he was cutting down and we were not happy about it.”
Richard however said he didn’t care and ‘needed’ the bushes trimmed so he could park his car, reports the Daily Mail. The Reddit user continued: “[My dad told him] ‘You have a curb cut out on the other side of your house, you can mow it and have a straight access to the backyard as the original builder intended.”
When presented with the alternate, Richard is said to have ‘stormed off’. The bush however had disappeared the following day.

Annoyed by Richard’s behaviour, the Redditor said his parents then decided to install a metal fence. It properly marked the property line and preserved their garden.
The Redditor said: “[My] dad and I decided that we needed metal fence posts to mark the property line. We put them 5 inches on our side of the property line. Drove them down really deep. There was very little room for him to get anything past them, especially his cars.”
It was when Richard returned home they truly got to enjoy their revenge. They said he spent hours shouting and screaming rather annoyed at the move.
He added: “Then we heard a car start up in the back and he successfully got one of his cars out but not without serious damage to the side, nice sized scrapes all along the side of the car.”
Richard’s response not only damaged his car, but the Redditor said it knocked the newly installed fence. So, to add salt into his wounds, they say they rang the police about Richard and he was slapped with a ticket for damaging the property.
Fellow Reddit users praised the man’s response to his nightmare neighbour. One said: “I wish you had sued over the bushes the tree law crowd is always fun although I wonder if bushes would fall under that.”
Another added: “I have never met a Richard that wasn’t a complete tool, deep down. Some of them can hide it, but it’s THERE.”
