Mum's heartbreak as 'beautiful' 10-year-old daughter found dead – police launch manhunt

A grieving mum whose young daughter was found dead at her family home last week has shared her heartbreak.

Police recovered the body of Sara Sharif, 10, from her father’s property in Horsell, Woking, on Thursday, August 10.

Her mother, Olga Sharif, was allegedly informed of her daughter’s death by officers over the phone, and she has told how her life will “never be the same again”.

She remembered her daughter in an interview with The Sun, telling the publication she was “Cheeky”, “outgoing”, and “always laughing”.

But she will see Sara for the first time in years when she views her body following a post-mortem today, as she alleged her ex-husband Urfan Sharif, 41 – who had sole custody – only allowed her to see her children twice since 2019.

Mrs Sharif said: “I couldn’t see my daughter for four years, and now she is dead. She’s only a kid, she had done nothing wrong.”

Instead, she was sent photos by Sara’s father, but they found ways to remain close to her “amazing child”.

She said there is “nothing I can do that can bring her back to life” and can now “only remember the good times with her”.

The grieving mum added: “Life is really hard. It’s just not fair.”

While Polish-born Mrs Sharif had lost custody in 2019, she said her artistic daughter wanted to be like her and described Sara as a younger version of herself.
