Multiple Manchester schools 'on lockdown' as police scrambled


Many schools in south Manchester are reportedly on “lockdown” and have emailed parents to inform them and reassure them of their children’s safety.

According to Kenwood nursery in Chorlton, the lockdown in the area is for “safety reasons”, and residents have reported a police presence in the area. 

In an email sent to parents, and seen by Manchester Evening News, the school has been put into “partial lockdown.”
