More than 60 firefighters tackle huge fire after diners evacuated from London restaurant


Eight fire engines and more than 60 firefighters were called to a fire that ripped through part of Balham High Road overnight. The London Fire Brigade was called to the popular high street shortly before 4am and arrived to a well-developed fire at the scene. The firefighters brought the fire under control just after 6am, while locals assessed the damage.

A shisha bar at the rear of the property was completely destroyed by the fire, while no injuries were reported.
