Moment Rishi Sunak 'roasts Prince Harry' for calling King Charles in Christmas video

Prime minister Rishi Sunak has “taken a festive dig at Prince Harry” in his Christmas video, according to some Brits speculating on social media. In the video wishing his followers “merry Christmas from Downing Street”, Sunak can be seen on his own in number 10 writing out letters.

However the PM quickly realises he is the only one home and begins to have fun, bowling over a set of Coca Cola cans while practising his cricket bowling.

He later fusses over Larry the cat and gives him a kiss before putting the final touches on his Christmas tree. The prime minister then sits down to tuck into a plate of fish and chips and watch the film Elf.

Sunak then hears Downing Street’s press office phone ringing while lighting a candle. He picks up the phone and tells the caller: “Harry you’ve got the wrong number.”

It is thought by some fans that the joke is in reference to the Duke and Dutchess of Sussex being left off the invite list for the royal Christmas at Sandringham. One social media user, writing on X, formerly Twitter, said: “Even Rishi, the UK’s Prime Minister roasts Prince Harry!”
