Moment Israeli Navy show no mercy blasting Hamas terrorists during defence of coastal city

This is the moment Israeli Navy units killed Hamas fighters trying to storm Israel from the Sea during the surprise Hamas terror operation last Saturday morning.

A first-person film, unseen until now, shows the troops aboard a Naval vessel opening fire on targets reportedly in the seas surrounding Ashkelon – a city with a population of around 133,000 people.

The filmmaker switches between using his rifle, grenades and a light machine gun (LMG) to blast the figures in the water.

Although it is difficult to make out the figures, several clips are put together showing the troops circling a number of spots and shooting into the water.

Since Hamas’ surprise attack last Saturday, Ashkelon – roughly 14 kilometres north of Gaza – has been a prime Hamas target.

On Tuesday, Hamas launched an attack on the city after giving civilians a 90-minute warning to leave.

Israel’s Iron Dome anti-missile system reportedly intercepted a number of the rockets, dampening the blow of the strikes.

Despite the warnings, twenty-two people were killed and hundreds of others wounded.

In response to last Saturday’s attack, Israel has been pounding the Gaza strip with airstrikes.

President Joe Biden today spoke to both President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, urging the leaders to allow humanitarian aid to the region and affirmed his support for efforts to protect civilians.

A White House readout said: “President Biden offered President Abbas and the Palestinian Authority his full support for these important and ongoing efforts.”
