'Modern dad' Prince William is 'very confident' looking after George, Charlotte and Louis

A source close to the Wales family told HELLO!: “[William] is a regular at the school gates and events and he’s very hands-on as a dad, so being in charge while Kate is away won’t faze him.

“They often do things as a full family and he’s very confident looking after the kids.”

Speaking of the reaction to Kate’s hospitalisation, the source added: “Everyone was very shocked and concerned when they heard.

“The Lambrook parents are a close-knit group and William and Kate have absolutely become part of it, so I’m certain their class groups will be rallying round to offer any help they can.”

Also speaking of William, Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, told HELLO!: “William is incredibly supportive as a husband.

“It’s pretty unusual for the Prince of Wales to cancel engagements because his wife isn’t well – that certainly wouldn’t have happened in the past – but he’s a modern man whose family is more important to him than anything else.”

Also William has chosen to remain at home with the children, he certainly has support on hand if he needs it.

Nanny Maria Teresa Turrion – who used to live with the family before they downsized in 2022 – is always on hand.

Maria has been the family’s nanny since Prince George was a baby – and has since helped with the couple’s two younger children.

Princess Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, also live a 40-minute drive away from Adelaide Cottage.

Kate’s siblings – Pippa and James – are also said to be keen to help out if needed.
