Missing Nicola Bulley was on phone to work when she disappeared during dog walk


A dog walker who went missing early in the morning last week was dialled into a work conference, police have revealed.

Nicola Bulley, 45, was last seen on Garstang Road in St Michael’s on Wyre, Lancashire, 9.15am on Friday, January 27, while walking along a riverside footpath on the River Wyre. 

Lancashire Police have retrieved her phone from the scene, and revealed the device was open on a work video call. 

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Superintendent Sally Riley said the phone was still “active” on a nearby bench.

Officers found that the conference hadn’t yet disconnected, and began searching for her immediately.

Supt Riley said: “It was on a meeting call, and that was still live it was connected to the conference call and that hadn’t been terminated.”
