Michael Gove is violently mobbed by protesters in ugly scenes with police crushed – watch

Shocking scenes have unfurled at Victoria Station in London as an angruy mob of pro-Palestinian supporters surged forward to attach cabinet minister Michael Gove.

The Levelling Up Secretary was on his way to get a train when demonstrators who had ben on the 300,000 person anti-Israel march spotted him and rushed his position.

Police can be seen fighting back the yobs as the try to overcome them and get the senior Tory minister.

The scenes are the latest on a torrid Armistice day and appear to justify concerns that the demnonstration should have been blocked.

After an event which has seen a war memorial vandalised by pro-Palestinian mobs, anti-semitic chants chants and racist and genocidal anti-Israel banners demands are being made that Met Commissioner Sir Mark rowley is sacked.

Reacting to the scenes, Reform UK leader Richard Tice said: “Truly disgusting and sadly predictable. Rowley should resign on Monday 9am.”

The Met police chief insisted on allowing the marches to go ahead despite warnings of pro-Palestinian extremists and the far right descending on London.

Tory Dudley North MP Marco Longhi told Express.co.uk: “I am lost for words about what is going on. Suella was absolutely right, the police should be tackling this straight on. It is absolutely disgraceful and thoroughly depressing.”
