Met Office issues new weather warnings with five areas to be bombarded by torrential rain


The Met Office has issued an urgent five warnings lasting up to 18 hours as large swathes of Britain are set to be hit with downpours.

The warning, comes into force Thursday at midnight, affects south west England, Wales, Central, Tayside & Fife, Grampian, south west Scotland, Lothian Borders and Strathclyde.
