Mercedes boss Toto Wolff teases Man Utd investment after Sir Jim Ratcliffe chat

Toto Wolff has issued an update on rumours linking him with investment into Premier League club Manchester United, claiming that he would be interested in the possibility, but that any involvement is still a long way off being certain.

Ratcliffe has been involved in a tug-of-war in the bid to take control of Manchester United this year with the latest updates in the club’s ownership saga dictating that the British businessman is set to buy a 25 per cent share in the organisation.

The 71-year-old already has a strong relationship with Mercedes boss Wolff with his company, Ineos, owning a third of the Mercedes F1 team.

This has naturally sparked some speculation regarding whether or not Wolff – who was valued at over £1 billion earlier this season following the spiking popularity of F1 – could also join the party at Old Trafford.
