Melania 'lying very low' while Donald Trump is 'acting normal' amid possible indictment

Donald Trump is “acting normal” amid his possible indictment but his wife Melania is “lying very low”, a report has claimed. The 76-year-old former President predicted he was going to be arrested earlier this week following a case involving porn star Stormy Daniels, his ex-lawyer Michael Cohen and an alleged payment of $130,000.

Despite speculation about a possible indictment, Trump has stuck to his usual routines and some in his inner circle believe it could pump up his base.

However, a source told PageSix that “Melania is lying very low”.

The insider added: “She hasn’t been coming out for the dinners and events at Mar-a-Lago.

“He is acting like everything is normal, but she hasn’t been social.”

The Slovenian-born former fashion model has also reportedly been left concerned about how the situation could impact the couple’s 17-year-old son Barron.

The source claimed: “She wants to be away from it. She wants to protect Barron.”

The report suggests an even great rift inside the Trump family after daughter Ivanka, a child of the ex-POTUS’ first wife Ivana, announced she would not participate in her father’s 2024 US Presidential Election campaign.

Ivanka’s husband Jared Kushner, who served as a senior adviser to his father-in-law, has also distanced himself from Trump’s third consecutive White House bid.

However, Trump has suggested he will continue to run for the White House even if he becomes the first POTUS to be indicted.

In an update to supporters, the property-tycoon-turned-politician said: “They’re hoping that I’ll throw in the towel and end our America First campaign.

“But I will NEVER give up on our movement! Not only am I more committed than ever, but I’m also going to send a STRONG message in response to the Deep State’s threats.”

He is also seemingly keeping his cool about the possible indictment, with snaps taken on Thursday showing the ex-Commander-in-Chief playing golf at his course in West Palm Beach.

Trump’s prediction that he would be arrested this past Tuesday did not materialise and the case’s grand jury in Manhattan was sent home until next week.

However, Trump’s supporters have rallied behind the Republican firebrand outside his Mar-a-Lago home.

Opinion polls also suggest the former President is increasing his lead against Grand Old Party challengers ahead of 2024.
