Meghan's subtle swipe at Kate resurfaces in old blog post as 'Princess dream' revisited

An old blog post from Meghan Markle’s now-defunct website has resurfaced online and it appears to make a subtle dig at Kate, Princess of Wales, referencing the “endless conversation” that swirled around her future sister-in-law.

Before things got serious between the former actress and Prince Harry, Meghan had an online blog site where she offered tips, advice and ideas on everything ranging from food and travel to lifestyle and beauty.

But the Duchess of Sussex shut down the blog post when she got engaged to her royal fiancee.

Now, there are rumours that “The Tig” could be making a stunning return given that she has stepped back from her royal duties, insiders have claimed.

Amid the speculation of a comeback, an old post that Meghan wrote before she even met Prince Harry has appeared to resurface online.

The Duchess described her correspondence with Princess Al-Senussi as a ‘”pinch-myself-I’m-emailing-with-a-princess’ moment”.

Meghan ran the The Tig between 2014 and 2017. The name comes from the Italian wine Tignanello.

The Duchess, who was an actress at the time she ran the site, described it as a “passion project” which she flooded with recipes, travel guides, beauty advice and interviews with other high-flying female stars.

According to a report in The Mirror, insiders claim Meghan could be hoping to relaunch the blog, with an ambition to rival Gwyneth Paltrow’s £200million site Goop.

The actress’ successful blog, like The Tig did, also offers tips on food, travel, fashion, the arts, design, conscious living and wellness.

Back in 2019, Meghan renewed The Tig’s trademark, hinting that she may could have been planning to relaunch the now-defunct blog.

But a spokesperson claimed at the time the move was designed to “prevent false branding, to avoid others purporting to be the Duchess or affiliated with her”.
