Meghan Markle was spotted driving her car with a friend to buy food from a West Coast favourite, In-N-Out Burger, this week just as her husband, Prince Harry, jetted off to Dusseldorf for the Invictus Games.
The Duchess of Sussex was seen smiling as she drove to the California fast-food chain restaurant – that’s close to their £11.6m ($14.6m) Montecito home – in her £112,000 ($140,000) black Range Rover.
Meghan had her hair up in a ponytail and was wearing a pair of sunglasses, as seen in photos obtained by the DailyMail.
This is only the second time she’s been seen behind the wheel of a car since January 2020, as last week, she was reportedly seen driving for the first time.
But even though Harry couldn’t make it to the greasy excursion, he’s previously admitted that he enjoys In-N-Out as it’s one of his favourites and the pair are known to be regulars.
The Duchess even said last year that the couple enjoyed “surprising” the staff at the one close to their home.
She told Variety in 2022: “There’s one at the halfway point between L.A. and our neck of the woods. It’s really fun to go through the drive-thru and surprise them. They know our order.”
The Duke revealed that his top order at the restaurant is the Double Double, with fries and a Coke, while his wife orders a cheeseburger, fries and a side of jalapenos.
Meanwhile, Harry was all smiles as he watched the athletics on day three of this year’s Invictus Games on Monday.
The royal even chatted with Kenyan senator Gloria Orwoba in the stands, while sitting next to the Ukrainian Minister of Veteran Affairs, Yulia Laputina.
The Duke of Sussex has also been pictured clapping and cheering on the participants as the games get underway.
He said he plans to attend as many events as he can during the week-long competition.
Today, Meghan is expected to join him in Germany, though there has been much speculation over whether she will make the trip over from California.
